Jenna lives with her family in southeastern Pennsylvania and attends a local Christian School. Along with her busy singing schedule, she enjoys swimming, playing guitar, and spending time with her friends, as well as, her pet Chihuahua, Angel.
Jenna’s love for singing began when she was 3 years old and she would try to imitate Charlotte Church or Sandi Patti. She realized early on that God had given her a gift and, as her passion for singing grew, so did her desire to share Jesus Christ with others through her songs. She made her desire known to her grandfather, Ossie Myers, who sings bass for the Harmenaires Quartet, and soon began opening programs for the quartet at the age of eight. Since then, Jenna has sung in well over 100 church services, benefit concerts, retirement communities, campgrounds and retreats. Highlights for her in recent years have been to sing at the Blue Mountain Gospel Festival in Kempton, Pa. in 2005, the Pennsylvania State Singing Conventions in Landisville and Martinsburg, Pa., where she shared the stage with the Hoppers. In 2007, Jenna was selected as one of the winners of the Hershey Entertainment Group National Kids Talent Contest and performed at Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, Pa. This past July, 2008, she attended the illustrious Steve Hurst School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee where she received private voice lessons from instructors Steve Hurst, Debra Talley, Brad Hudson and Sherry Forbes.
Even at the age of 13, Jenna had recording experience. In 2005, she recorded 2 projects with Jeff Boyer in Saylorsburg, Pa. and during 2008 traveled to Nashville completing her latest recording, “All Because of You”, available March, 2009. This latest project contains both new and original material with a unique styling that is a fresh, youthful approach to southern gospel music. Her producer is Nick Bruno, of Homeland Entertainment Group in Gallatin, Tennessee. Nick and Jenna’s grandfather were members of the Eastmen Quartet in the mid 1960’s. Nick Bruno was named Southern Gospel Music’s Producer of the Year in 2007 and is a former pianist for Elvis Presley, JD Sumner and the Stamps, the Kingsmen, and Rebels Quartet.
Jenna accepted Jesus as her Savior early in her life and believes in her heart that God has a plan to use the talents He’s given her to bring glory and honor to His name, to lift up the name of Jesus, and draw listeners closer to Him through her singing ministry. She wishes to minister to all ages, young and old. Her desire is to grow in her faith, as well as, continue to develop the singing talents the Lord has given her, or in the words of Nick Bruno, “perfect her craft”. She is eager for all opportunities to sing that come her way.
Jenna is blessed to have full support of her church, her family, grandparents, friends, and prayer partners who offer prayers, support, and encouragement along the way.
